The Yoga Jar simply means put some money in the jar and call it good. No memberships, no per class set fee, just what you can afford or feel the class is worth to you. I do recommend at least $1. That is more for respect to the studio, your practice, and the teacher.
Community is the plan. Not just yoga classes, but a place to have a cup of tea. Relax and have a laugh. And if someone wants to teach a dance class, tai chi or some other group/private classes, just ask.
I used to own a studio called Yoga Jo's. We tried a lot of different ways to make money to include the Jar Method . It worked well and created a strong community. And that is the focus for this new studio.
Yes, there will be massage space. For myself and for others. In my perfect world, it will be half a dozen or more tables set up in a clinic environment. And you pay for 20 minute increments to get serious body work done.
Yes, I'll be doing some private lessons. Pricing to be determined.
If you are interested in teaching yoga, let me know. If you are already trained, great! If not, I will be starting a teacher training program. At this time, it won't be associated with the YA.
